Gia Phuong Commune is located in the center of Gia Vien District, the birthplace of King Dinh Tien Hoang. Mr. Dao Van Duy, Keeper of King Dinh Temple, said: Bo De Hill is a high mound of earth at the beginning of Van Bong village, which is said to have been the foundation of the old house of King Dinh's parents and the birthplace of Dinh Bo Linh, in present-day Gia Phuong commune. King Dinh Temple was built around the 15th century, about 200m from Bo De Hill. In 1993, the Temple was recognized as a National Historical-Cultural Relic. In addition to Bo De Hill, Gia Phuong commune also has other relics and relics such as Dai Hoang River, Dam Bridge, Dao Ao Book (Dao Uc), King Dinh Street (Tien Yet Street), Ho Mountain, Ky Lan Mountain, Ma Phu and Ma Rieng Mounds... associated with historical events and myths and legends about King Dinh.

Every year, on the birthday and death anniversary of King Dinh, the local Party Committee, government and people organize many activities to commemorate and pay tribute to the merits of Dinh Tien Hoang De - the founder of the Dai Co Viet State in the past. Gia Phuong commune is not only the birthplace of King Dinh, but also a land rich in revolutionary tradition. Dai Huu commune (formerly known as Gia Phuong commune) is one of the first three communes in Gia Vien district to establish a grassroots Party organization, contributing to the development of the district's revolutionary movement. With a history of thousands of years, the people of Gia Phuong commune today always strive and join hands to build their homeland to become richer and more beautiful.

Comrade Ta Xuan Lanh, Vice Chairman of Gia Phuong Commune People's Committee, said: Proud to be the birthplace of King Dinh Tien Hoang, and also a place with a revolutionary tradition, the Party Committee, government and people of Gia Phuong commune are always united, united, and join hands to comprehensively complete the goals of Party building and socio-economic development. In 2023, the commune completed and exceeded 15/16 set targets.

Party building and government building work has been focused on democratic and unified direction, strongly oriented towards the grassroots. Agricultural production has been stable, trade and services have continued to develop. Culture and society have had many innovations, social security has been promoted, and people's material and spiritual lives have continued to be improved. Local military and defense work has been strengthened. Political security has been maintained, and social order and safety have been ensured. A typical example of the changes in Gia Phuong today is the result of new rural construction. In 2019, Gia Phuong commune achieved the new rural commune standard. Currently, the commune continues to focus on completing the advanced new rural criteria, building model new rural residential areas. A typical example is Van Bong village - the birthplace of King Dinh in the past, which has now become one of the three model new rural residential areas of the commune.

Mr. Ta Xuan Que, Head of Van Bong village, said: In recent years, the village has focused on mobilizing all resources, mobilizing people to contribute manpower and money to renovate and upgrade village roads and residential houses; planting trees, flowers and lighting systems on the roads... with a total cost of nearly 7.5 billion VND. Up to now, 100% of the roads in the village have been concreted, with signs and direction signs installed; 100% of residential houses are solid, ensuring the use of national grid electricity; over 93% of households have been recognized as Cultural Families.

By the end of 2023, Van Bong village will have no more poor households, the average income of people will reach 74.9 million VND/person/year. The village will complete the goal of building a model new rural residential area by December 2023.

Also according to Vice Chairman of Gia Phuong Commune People's Committee Ta Xuan Lanh, in 2024, the commune aims to build one more village to become a model new rural residential area, striving to become a commune meeting advanced new rural standards by 2025. In addition to the socio-economic development goals, in the coming time, the local Party Committee and government will also focus on promoting propaganda and education on local traditions and history for all classes of people, especially the young generation; effectively manage, exploit and promote local tourism development, especially the National Historical-Cultural Relic of King Dinh Tien Hoang Temple. Thereby, contributing to promoting to people and tourists the birthplace of King Dinh Tien Hoang, at the same time multiplying the pride of the local people, joining hands and unanimity with the local Party Committee and government to complete the set goals, building Gia Phuong to develop more and more.
