At around 7:00 a.m. on September 28, at the Phan Hanh Son - An Duong Vuong intersection (Ngu Hanh Son ward), a tree suddenly fell, crushing a 7-seat car driven by Mr. NTQ (1995, residing in Da Nang city), trapping 6 people in the car.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police of Da Nang City Police dispatched 1 rescue vehicle and 7 officers and soldiers to the scene. The authorities quickly used a saw to cut tree branches, approached and brought all 6 victims out safely, and at the same time cleaned up the scene, ensuring smooth traffic.
By 7:35 a.m. the same day, the rescue was completed. Forces and vehicles were ordered to return to a state of readiness for firefighting and rescue.
In Hai Van ward, since September 27, the ward's functional forces have focused on implementing the work of preventing and combating storm No. 10. Specifically, the ward has zoned off and warned of landslide-prone areas and evacuated people in areas with high risk of landslides (Ta Lang, Nam Yen and Pho Nam villages). The functional forces have also patrolled the mountainous forest area, mobilizing about 50 workers to leave the forest and go to a safe storm shelter.
In Hoa Vang commune, a section of National Highway 14G passing through the commune was eroded due to heavy rain, soil and rocks from the hillside and fallen tree branches covered the road surface, obstructing traffic. Immediately after the incident, Hoa Vang commune authorities coordinated with the road management unit to mobilize human resources and machinery to dredge and clear the soil and rocks. By September 28, one side of the road had been cleared and was being treated to ensure traffic safety.
