Keep the family happy

The Vietnam Family Day 2025, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the People's Committee of Dak Lak province in Buon Ma Thuot city, contributed to spreading the humane message of solidarity, companionship and responsibility among members of each family.

At the same time, it brings meaningful moments for families to gather and bond together after busy working days.

Within the framework of the festival, the exchange and meeting of typical families with the theme “Keeping the fire of happiness” attracted the attention of many participants. The sincere sharing from the families not only touched the listeners’ emotions but also inspired positive feelings about love, companionship and sharing in married and family life.

Exemplary families exchange and share experiences in keeping the fire of happiness within the framework of the Vietnam Family Day 2025 activities.

For Mr. Y Duyệt Nie's family (Cư M'gar district), happiness does not lie in big things but is built from everyday moments. As teachers, both husband and wife work far away, their busy work schedules limit the time they have for their children. However, instead of letting that become a barrier, they choose to work together to arrange and divide their work reasonably so they always have time to connect.

“We cherish every moment of eating together, doing housework, taking our children out to play, or simply sitting down after a long day to listen to our children tell stories from class. In my spare time, I often spend time sharing with my children about our national cultural identity, teaching them how to play gongs, weave cloth, etc. Nurturing family affection associated with preserving national culture not only helps family members become closer, but also helps children understand and be proud of their origins,” said Y Duyet.

As for Mr. Hoang Nhat Nam (Buon Ma Thuot City), a typical face in community activities, the secret to maintaining a sustainable home can be summed up in two words: "understanding" and "love".

What impresses Nam's family is the silent but steadfast companionship of his wife and children in the journey of sharing life. As an active participant in charity programs, he and his friends often organize trips to remote areas, bringing warm clothes, bags of rice... to those in difficult circumstances. Behind each of his trips, there is always the figure of his devoted wife and children who are ready to stand by their parents.

“My family always promotes a lifestyle of sharing and solidarity. I often create conditions for my children to participate in community activities, sometimes contributing to a charity program or simply helping neighbors. These activities not only help the whole family have more time together but also provide opportunities for children to learn to understand, listen and open up to life around them. I believe that from these things, my children will gradually form love and a sense of responsibility towards the community in a natural and sustainable way,” Nam confided.

Many families brought their children to visit, shop and enjoy food at the Vietnam Family Day 2025.

In addition to the typical family gathering and exchange activities, the family photo exhibition area also attracts a large number of viewers. Simple moments in family life are recorded in a realistic and emotional way. Without the need for commentary, each photo is a slice of life that makes viewers slow down to reflect on the precious things that exist around them.

In particular, the food stall area, introducing agricultural products, regional specialties, high-quality OCOP products... has become an ideal stop for many families. Ms. Phan Ngoc Linh (34 years old, Thanh Nhat Ward, Buon Ma Thuot City) with her husband and two young children spent an entire evening walking around the stalls, enjoying delicious food and choosing to buy some specialties to bring home.

Linh confided: “My husband and I are busy all year round, sometimes we don’t have a meal together for a whole week. Today, the whole family has the opportunity to go out, eat together, and tell stories about our hometowns. Looking at the children laughing and talking, I feel the warm atmosphere of family. Moments like this are more precious to me than a long trip .”

The festival has ended but its echoes still linger in the hearts of many participants. Because more than just a cultural event, Vietnam Family Day is a gentle but profound reminder of the sacred value of home - a place that no matter where we go, we all want to return to.
