More importantly, this information will always be prominently displayed in convenient locations on the lock screen.

The feature prioritizes different notifications, allowing you to quickly glance at information without opening the app. Whether you're walking or driving, tracking your route will become easier and safer.

Now, some Pixel and Samsung phone users in the Android 16 QPR2 beta (testing) program have started seeing the first tests of this feature.

We won't have to wait long, though. Google is expected to roll out the update widely alongside the stable release of Android 16 QPR1, which is expected to arrive this week or early next week.
