This afternoon (May 20), the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry - Thanh Hoa - Ninh Binh Branch will announce the results of the Provincial Competitiveness Index (DDCI) of Thanh Hoa Province's departments, branches, and People's Committees in 2023. What the public is interested in is how some departments, branches, and localities that are considered to play a very important role in supporting and creating for businesses will be? How are they perceived and evaluated by businesses?

In the 2022 DDCI ranking of departments and sectors, among the 6 departments and sectors with average rankings and 1 department with poor rankings, all are closely related to business operations. In particular, how will the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, which is at the bottom of the rankings, fare in this ranking, when the issue of land access continues to be the content of the DDCI survey in 2023? Similarly, in the local sector, the bottom of the rankings is the decline of some localities, including localities considered to be the economic "locomotives" of the province such as Nghi Son town and Bim Son town. Will this change in this announcement?

It can be said that the announcement of the DDCI Index 2022 a year ago created a lot of emotions. There was joy, there was sadness, but in general, after the joy of this unit or the sadness of that locality, everyone had to suppress their emotions to look back on their past journey and "keep the fire" and "light the fire" for the next journey. Will the ranking in the most recent ranking make the whole group "sensuous", especially the leader? How will they act when the dynamism and role of the leader continue to be considered important criteria to be surveyed?

With a high spirit of receptivity, after the announcement of DDCI 2022, a number of provincial departments and branches immediately invited functional agencies to train and guide with the hope of improving their rankings.

The announcement of the DDCI index results of provincial departments, branches and district People's Committees is considered as a measure, a mirror to see the level of satisfaction of enterprises with departments, branches and localities in the province; why the same criteria have different results, and some units are even far behind in terms of scores. The assessment is objective, quantified, not emotional. You can say as much good as you want about yourself, because that is your personal right. However, when applied to specific criteria, evaluated by different people, it is the voice of the majority. Maybe a certain enterprise, out of fear or respect, speaks well of the locality or unit in front of the local leaders or units, but when there is democracy, enterprises are allowed to speak their sincere and honest voices, they cannot deceive themselves. Therefore, many people are interested in what enterprises think and say from the results announced this time. And more importantly, from the ranking position, it will be the basis for each department, branch, and locality to continue to look back to make adjustments, contributing to improving the PCI Index ranking of the province.
