Hanoi meets with veteran officials and meritorious people on August 14

The city organized a meeting with veteran officials, meritorious people and former city leaders on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

On July 29, the City People's Committee issued Plan No. 204/KH-UBND on meeting with veteran revolutionary cadres, exemplary meritorious people; former city leaders of all periods on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

This activity aims to show gratitude and honor the contributions of revolutionary veterans and meritorious people...; promote patriotism and solidarity in the cause of national development.

The meeting is scheduled to take place on August 14, 2025. The event will be attended by about 450 delegates, including leaders, former leaders of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front of the city; veteran revolutionary cadres, representatives of Viet Minh soldiers in Hoang Dieu citadel and individuals with outstanding contributions.

The City People's Committee assigned the Department of Home Affairs to preside over the organization; units: Capital Command, Department of Culture and Sports , City Police, Hanoi Electricity and communes, wards... coordinate to organize the event.
