Mong Cai International Border Gate Customs organizes consultation and dialogue conference with businesses

On June 20, in Mong Cai City, Mong Cai International Border Gate Customs (Customs Branch of Region VIII) organized a consultation and dialogue conference with more than 90 enterprises with import-export activities through the area to discuss and remove difficulties and obstacles for enterprises, and at the same time inform and update new policies and regulations in the field of customs and import-export.

Speaking at the conference, a representative of Mong Cai International Border Gate Customs gave an overview of import-export activities in the first 6 months of 2025. Accordingly, despite the difficult domestic and international context, import-export activities through the border gate still maintained a positive growth momentum. As of June 14, the unit had processed nearly 50,000 declarations with a total turnover of 2.5 billion USD, an increase of 32% over the same period last year. Budget revenue reached more than 1,139 billion VND, equal to 45% of the year's target.

Also at the conference, representatives of Mong Cai International Border Gate Customs deployed propaganda and dissemination of new legal documents related to import and export activities, notably policies on tax reduction and procedure simplification in the spirit of administrative reform of the Government; Law on Value Added Tax dated November 26, 2024 (effective from July 1, 2025); Circular No. 33/2025/TT-BCT and Circular 34/2025/TT-BCT of the Ministry of Industry and Trade ; introduced the electronic customs clearance system version 6 (Ecus 6) - Remote Customs declaration system and many new points on HS code application, specialized management and post-inspection policies, helping businesses proactively comply with regulations.

Notably, at the conference, Mong Cai Customs gave some important notes in the process of implementing customs procedures such as: Accurate information declaration, full submission of documents on the electronic system, compliance with settlement deadlines for processing and manufacturing enterprises... At the same time, it also shared the reduction of specialized inspections for some items such as tiles, construction glass, electronic components, in order to shorten customs clearance time and reduce costs for businesses.

During the dialogue session, the conference recorded dozens of opinions and recommendations from businesses related to problems with tax policies, specialized inspections, tax refund procedures, customs clearance time, etc. All opinions were directly discussed and thoroughly answered by representatives of Customs and relevant authorities right at the conference.

Speaking at the end of the conference, the leaders of Mong Cai International Border Gate Customs affirmed to continue accompanying businesses, promoting reform, modernization, building an open, transparent and effective customs procedure environment, contributing to promoting the development of border trade and regional economy .
