Teachers working at public schools will enjoy benefits as prescribed in Decree No. 73/2024/ND-CP.
On January 24, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong said that Hanoi City has approved the proposal of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training and the Department of Finance on supporting bonuses for teachers according to the provisions of Decree No. 73/2024/ND-CP.
Accordingly, teachers working at schools piloting the ordering of educational service prices in the city will have their rights guaranteed according to the provisions of Decree No. 73/2024/ND-CP.
It is expected that the teachers will receive their awards after the City People's Council meets and passes the resolution.
According to the provisions of Decree No. 73/2024/ND-CP of the Government stipulating the basic salary and bonus regime for cadres, civil servants, public employees and armed forces, from July 1, 2024, cadres, civil servants and public employees will enjoy a bonus regime based on work performance and results of annual assessment and classification of task completion level.
The annual bonus fund in this regulation is outside the reward fund as prescribed by the Law on Emulation and Reward and is determined by 10% of the total basic salary fund. This is the first time that cadres, civil servants and public employees have this amount.
However, before that, in early January 2025, according to the feedback of teachers working at public schools implementing the pilot program of ordering educational services in Hanoi, this team was not entitled to enjoy the provisions of Decree No. 73 because they were self-insured regular expenditure units.
In the 2024-2025 school year, Hanoi will have 119 educational institutions under the Hanoi Department of Education and Training piloting the ordering of educational service prices; in addition, the district, county and town blocks have about 250 educational institutions.
In order to ensure teachers' rights, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training and the Department of Finance have issued a report and proposed that competent authorities have a plan to support educational institutions in piloting the ordering of educational service prices.
