At 7:00 p.m. tonight, September 6, at Viet Tri Stadium, the U23 Vietnam team will play the second match of Group C of the 2026 U23 Asian Qualifiers against U23 Singapore.
Coach Kim Sang-sik said the whole team is actively preparing both physically and tactically, ready for this important confrontation.
“As everyone knows, the weather in Phu Tho is quite hot. Through meetings, we watched videos to learn from the last match and prepare for the upcoming matches. Overall, U23 Vietnam is well prepared for the match against U23 Singapore,” said coach Kim Sang-sik.
Evaluating the opponent, Coach Kim said that Singapore is a team with its own strengths, and affirmed that U23 Vietnam will have some personnel adjustments to suit tactical requirements.
The coach born in 1967 emphasized: "I cannot say specifically, but there will be changes in some positions in the starting lineup. I trust and expect the best performance from the players."
At the end of the sharing, Coach Kim Sang-sik called on fans to come to Viet Tri Stadium to cheer and give strength to the young players.
“This is our second match in Group C of the 2026 AFC U23 qualifiers. We hope that Phu Tho fans will come to cheer and encourage U23 Vietnam to have a good match.”
In Group C, U23 Vietnam and U23 Yemen are leading with 3 points each. Another victory will open the door for coach Kim Sang-sik and his team to get closer to the goal of winning a ticket to the 2026 AFC U23 Championship.
