Quang Ninh students won Bronze Medal at International Olympiad in Informatics

According to the latest information from the Department of Education and Training, the 37th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) was held in person from July 27 to August 3, 2025 in Bolivia. The competition had the direct participation of 331 contestants from 84 countries and territories. The Vietnamese delegation with 4 contestants all won medals (1 Gold Medal, 2 Silver Medals and 1 Bronze Medal). In particular, Ninh Quang Thang, a student of Ha Long High School for the Gifted, Quang Ninh, participated in the competition for the first time and made outstanding efforts and won a Bronze Medal.

Ninh Quang Thang has just won a Bronze Medal at the 37th International Olympiad in Informatics.

The International Olympiad in Informatics is the largest, most prestigious and professional Informatics competition in the world . According to the regulations of the IOI 2025 Council, the International Olympiad in Informatics has two official competition days. On each competition day, candidates will take a 5-hour computer programming test and solve 3 problems with rich content. The results are automatically scored online by the system and the live scoreboard is announced throughout the two competition days (online).

This year's exam is highly difficult, requiring candidates to be able to apply knowledge flexibly and be creative. With the strong development of the digital technology industry, countries are increasingly investing heavily in their teams and the competition between countries is getting higher in this exam.
