Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat's student won by knockout after only 50 seconds at AFC 31

Right in the opening match of the event, the student of "undefeated" Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat from No. 1 Muay Club training center, Luu Thanh My, made the audience extremely excited when it only took 50 seconds to knock out opponent Le Nguyen Phuc in the 61 kg weight class. In the only women's match, 17-year-old Vu Thi Anh Thu had an overwhelming victory over Asuka Nakamoto (Japan) in the 61.3 kg weight class on her professional MMA debut. Asuka Nakamoto continuously had to defend against a variety of wrestling moves from chokes to arm twists from the Vietnamese female fighter.

It was very difficult for Asuka Nakamoto to successfully defend through the first round. In the second round, Anh Thu continued to show off her excellent wrestling techniques and completely dominated the match. Although she could not knock out her opponent, Anh Thu had an overwhelming points victory after 2 rounds.

Another student of Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat, Luu Duc Manh, left many regrets when he lost to Park Yeong Jun (Korea) in the 61.3 kg weight class. However, Luu Duc Manh was still consoled when he received the "Best Fighter" award worth 10 million VND for his dedicated performance.

In the remaining matches, Nguyen Nguyen Chuong lost by technical knockout in the first round to Kim Dong Hyun (Korea) in the 61.3 kg weight class after being hit by a very heavy right hand from his opponent. Tran Quoc Toan lost to Suyurov Farruh (Uzbekistan) in the 84 kg weight class in the first round. Xuan Wang (China) had a knockout victory over Jin Sato (Japan) in the 70.4 kg weight class with a very heavy right hand when the first round had lasted for more than 2 minutes.

In the final bout in the 70.4kg category, Kim Kyung Lock (Korea) won by knockout with more than a minute left in the first round with an impressive choke despite being pressured for most of the time by Taisei Mizusugi (Japan). This was a replacement bout for the Robson Oliveira vs. Joo Dong Jo (Korea) match that was cancelled due to Oliveira being overweight.
