ACP 2025 Conference: Patient Safety Culture is a Top Priority

A culture of patient safety is a key goal and a top priority, including a safe work environment, leadership that promotes psychological safety, and employees who learn from mistakes to improve.

"In the healthcare sector, patient safety culture is what everyone desires, is a key goal, and is a top priority. A strong patient safety culture will help improve treatment outcomes. Patient safety culture is a commitment to patient safety in all aspects, including a safe working environment, leadership that promotes psychological safety, and employees who learn from mistakes to improve," said Mr. Pham Nhat Tan, Deputy Director of Quality Management, Phuong Chau Healthcare Group, at the ACP 2025 Conference held on July 11.

The conference attracted more than 800 delegates with the presence of leading experts, operational staff, and quality management staff from hospitals nationwide. A special highlight of ACP 2025 is the participation of reporters from 7/9 hospitals and healthcare systems that meet JCI and JCI Enterprise standards in Vietnam.

In addition, the conference also had the participation of international experts from The Medical City (Philippines) - one of the leading hospitals in the ASEAN region that meets JCI standards.

Towards international standards in healthcare operations

Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Ho, Founder, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, CEO of Phuong Chau Medical Group, shared that the theme of this year's conference "JCI & JCI Enterprise - Symphony in healthcare operations" is not just an impromptu analogy. It is a way of imagining a modern healthcare system. A symphony, where every person, every process, every technology, every cultural feature plays the role of a musical instrument. And the entire operating system only reaches harmony when guided by international standards such as JCI and JCI Enterprise.

JCI is the global standard for quality management and patient safety, based on more than 2,500 standards, including patient safety, infection control, medication management, emergency response, quality management and healthcare worker safety.

Phuong Chau Medical Group has 3/4 hospitals in the system achieving JCI certification, and has become the first medical system in Southeast Asia to achieve JCI - Enterprise certification, ranking in the global top 10.
