The 17th Conference of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front Committee (term XIV)

On the afternoon of July 5, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee held the 17th Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Conference (term XIV) to review the Front's work in the first 6 months of the year, deploy key tasks for the last 6 months of 2024; and submit to the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, term XIV, for comments on the preparations for the 15th Provincial Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024-2029.

Attending the conference were comrade Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Priest Tran Xuan Manh, non-professional Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee; members of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, term XIV, members of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term IX in Thanh Hoa .

The report at the conference pointed out: In the first 6 months of 2024, despite many difficulties and challenges, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province has proactively and actively implemented synchronous Front work right from the beginning of the year with detailed and specific plans and instructions on each content and work program. Closely following the grassroots, grasping the people's situation, promptly reflecting, proposing solutions suitable for Front work in the new situation, effectively implementing the proposed coordinated action program and achieving outstanding results, namely: Information and propaganda work continues to be innovated, diversified in content and form. Campaigns and patriotic emulation movements are focused on implementing in the direction of promoting the self-management role of the people, the leading role of the Fatherland Front; the work of participating in Party and government building, supervision and social criticism is focused on directing innovation and improving quality and efficiency.

People's foreign affairs work has achieved many positive results. The consolidation and innovation of the content and methods of operation of the Fatherland Front at all levels; training, education, and fostering to improve skills and expertise for the staff of the Fatherland Front at all levels have been well implemented. The direction and guidance of the organization of the Fatherland Front Congress at all levels for the 2024-2029 term has been carried out methodically and promptly, ensuring the correct time, progress, procedures and regulations.

Also at the conference, the leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee reported on the preparations for the 15th Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress, term 2024-2029, including: Draft Political Report, Submission on Personnel Plan and expected personnel list of the Presidium, Secretariat, Committee Members, Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, term XV to be submitted to the 15th Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress, term 2024-2029.

The 15th Provincial Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024-2029, is expected to take place in 2 days (July 13 and 14), at the 25B Conference Center, with about 600 delegates attending, including 330 official delegates. During the Congress, the following activities will take place: Offering incense to report on the work of the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Cultural Area; Opening of the photo exhibition "Promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc, building Thanh Hoa province into a rich, beautiful and civilized province"; Opening of the "Creative Solidarity Festival".

Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Pham Thi Thanh Thuy delivered the closing speech at the conference.

In her closing speech at the conference, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Pham Thi Thanh Thuy emphasized: Entering the implementation of the 2024 tasks in a context of many opportunities and advantages but also many difficulties and challenges. However, with the attention, guidance and direction of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the coordination of the government, the Fatherland Front at all levels and member organizations closely following the requirements of the province's political tasks, resolutions of the Party Committees and the program of coordinated and unified action, organizing and implementing comprehensively the tasks of the Front and achieving positive results, contributing to the good implementation of the goals and tasks of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, maintaining political stability and social order and safety of the province.

In the time before the Congress, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission and Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee requested delegates and leaders of member organizations to continue promoting patriotic emulation movements and campaigns to welcome the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress in conjunction with the political tasks of agencies and units, creating a widespread political movement among cadres, party members and people.

Requesting the members of the Committee, leaders of the Fatherland Front Committees of districts, towns and cities to grasp the health conditions of their unit's delegates, organize meetings, report to the Party Committee to create the most favorable conditions for the delegates to attend the congress. Requesting the Chairmen of the Fatherland Front Committees of districts and cities to report and confirm the list of local honorary guests so that the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province can warmly welcome the delegates who are leaders of the districts to attend the congress. Requesting the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Thanh Hoa City to coordinate well in propaganda work to serve the congress.

The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission and Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee also respectfully requested that outstanding individuals and committee members, with their prestige, affection and responsibility, fully participate in the activities taking place before, during and after the Congress so that the 15th Provincial Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024-2029, will be a great success.
