On this exact day, 56 years ago, at 9:47 a.m. on September 2, 1969 (July 21, year of the Rooster), beloved President Ho Chi Minh breathed his last, bid farewell to the entire Vietnamese people, and peacefully returned to his ancestors and the roots of the nation.
Before passing away, Uncle Ho left behind a sacred Testament. It is a priceless spiritual heritage, a message of advice, heartfelt affection, and deep faith left for future generations.
Also in his Testament, he lovingly chose Ba Vi Mountain, the place where heaven and earth meet, where mountains and rivers converge - the Ancestor Mountain of the South - the Mother Mountain of Vietnam's peaks, as the final resting place of his life, after a lifetime of tireless work for the people and the country.
With the wish to remember Uncle Ho's merits, to pass them on to future generations, based on his will in his Will, the generations of Vietnamese descendants in the Ho Chi Minh era asked for permission to choose King Peak, Ba Vi Mountain - a sacred mountain in the Vietnamese people's consciousness, a place name consistent with the content of Uncle Ho's Will as the place to build Uncle Ho Temple with the hope that this place will be a destination for generations of Vietnamese descendants today and tomorrow to gather here to offer incense and learn from Uncle Ho's example.
Celebrating the 56th anniversary of implementing his Testament, the 80th anniversary of Uncle Ho reading the Declaration of Independence giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, a period of time not long compared to the thousands of years of traditional history of the nation, but 56 years of implementing his testament, our entire Party, people and army have overcome all difficulties and challenges, closely following the great ideas in his Testament, uniting, uniting, joining hands and hearts to build Vietnam into a country with a foundation, potential, position and international prestige like today, to gradually move towards the goal of building Vietnam to reach new heights, becoming more and more dignified and beautiful, as Uncle Ho wished during his lifetime.
In the solemn and emotional atmosphere commemorating the 56th anniversary of Uncle Ho's death, all comrades and compatriots present at the incense offering ceremony, representing the entire Party, the entire people and the entire army, promised before Uncle Ho's spirit to continue to inherit and strongly promote the glorious tradition and valuable lessons of the Party, overcome all difficulties, repel risks, strengthen solidarity, unity, join hands, make the most of opportunities and advantages, maximize all resources, strive to study and follow Uncle Ho's ideology, morality and style regularly and practically, in order to build each family, each agency, unit, each enterprise, each ministry, branch and each locality to increasingly develop, contributing to building "... A peaceful, unified, independent, democratic and prosperous Vietnam..." as Uncle Ho's last wish in his Testament.
Uncle Ho Temple at King Peak, Ba Vi Mountain (Ba Vi Mountain has 3 peaks. King Peak is 1,296 m high, Tan Vien Peak is 1,227 m high and Ngoc Hoa Peak is 1,131 m high) has an area of 150 square meters, designed with beam and column architecture, 2 floors, 8 curved roofs creating a very solid position.

The architecture of the Uncle Ho Temple in Ba Vi is unique and different from the architecture of traditional Vietnamese temples, because of the harmonious combination of ancient and modern architectural styles, in accordance with Uncle Ho's instructions in his Will: "... build a simple, spacious, sturdy, cool house so that visitors have a place to rest...". The central location of the temple is the statue of Uncle Ho, behind the statue is the national flag, in front hangs a bas-relief with the words: "Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom."
In the middle of the temple door is a monolithic green stone slab, inside is engraved with Uncle Ho's will, outside is engraved with an excerpt of the eulogy read by the Central Executive Committee at the memorial service for Uncle Ho in 1969. In front of the stone slab is a bronze drum, Hy Cuong Phu Tho bronze drum version, with a diameter of 79 cm (symbolizing Uncle Ho's 79 years of life); height of 69 cm (to mark the year 1969 when our beloved Uncle Ho passed away).
Behind the temple is a bas-relief with a bronze drum symbol and a miniature map of Vietnam with embossed bronze letters, quoting Uncle Ho's words during the resistance war against the US to save the country: "Vietnam is one. The Vietnamese people are one. Rivers can dry up, mountains can wear away, but that truth will never change."
Uncle Ho Temple at King Peak, Ba Vi National Park is a place to organize spiritual and cultural activities, organize reporting activities, admit new party members of many organizations, agencies, and units. It is a meaningful tourist destination about "remembering the source of drinking water" and the movement: "Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh."
It has become a tradition that every year on the occasion of Uncle Ho's death anniversary (July 21st of the lunar calendar), representatives of the Party and State leaders, localities, units; the Nguyen Sinh family, the Hoang Xuan family from Kim Lien, Nam Dan, Nghe An and a large number of people from all over the country gather at Uncle Ho's Temple on King Peak, Ba Vi National Park, to hold an incense offering ceremony to commemorate Uncle Ho's death anniversary according to traditional customs, to express gratitude for his immense contributions to the Vietnamese people./.
