More than 10,000 students participate in Heritage Education program in schools in My Son

ĐNO - More than 10,000 students participated in the Heritage Education program in schools in My Son in the 2024-2025 school year, thereby improving their understanding of culture and history, fostering love for their homeland and awareness of preserving and promoting the value of local cultural heritage.

This morning, August 19, the My Son World Cultural Heritage Management Board (Thu Bon commune) organized a summary of the Heritage Education program in schools, school year 2024 - 2025.

On May 10, 2024, the My Son Cultural Heritage Management Board and the Department of Education and Training of Duy Xuyen district (old) signed a Joint Plan on organizing heritage education in schools.

In the 2024-2025 school year, the My Son World Cultural Heritage Management Board coordinated to organize 6 heritage education programs, attracting 5,100 students from 49 primary, secondary and high schools in Duy Xuyen district (old). In particular, nearly 100 disabled students from the Quang Nam Center for Support and Inclusive Education for Deaf Children (old) and 5,000 students from universities of tourism, culture, architecture, fine arts... were organized to visit and study extracurricular activities at My Son Temple Complex, My Son Museum and Sa Huynh - Champa Culture Museum.

Besides learning about the system of historical artifacts and cultural heritage values, students also experience some typical occupations and folk games of the Cham and Vietnamese ethnic groups...

In addition, the My Son World Cultural Heritage Management Board also organizes competitions such as: making a video introducing the My Son World Cultural Heritage in bilingual (Vietnamese - English); "I am a heritage tour guide" (English commentary), practicing commentary and tour guiding skills, helping children have the opportunity to improve their English...
