More than 3,000 athletes participate in the race "80-year journey for national security"

(NLDO) - The "80-year Journey for National Security" race opens the series of activities of the 2025 Sports Festival organized by the Vietnam People's Public Security Sports Association.

On August 24, at NovaWorld Phan Thiet (Tien Thanh ward, Lam Dong province), more than 3,000 athletes including police officers, soldiers and sports enthusiasts participated in the "80-year journey for national security" race.

Before departure, the athletes performed the national flag-raising ceremony with an 80 square meter flag, expressing pride and responsibility in the cause of preserving and protecting the Fatherland.

Leaders, former leaders of Lam Dong province and many people and tourists attended the opening ceremony of Sport Festival 2025 organized by the Vietnam People's Public Security Sports Association.

The Organizing Committee awarded commemorative medals to the coordinating units.

The race takes place on the coastal route, ensuring safety while creating an impressive landscape experience for participants.

The event not only affirms the spirit of physical training and improving the spiritual life of the People's Public Security officers and soldiers and the community, but also opens a series of activities of the Sport Festival 2025 organized by the Vietnam People's Public Security Sports Association, towards the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) and the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Public Security Tradition Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025).

The 2025 Sports Festival consists of two phases. Phase 1, from August 19 to September 2, in addition to the running tournament, also includes the first People's Public Security Golf Tournament, the Compak Sporting Flying Disc Shooting Tournament, and the Kun Khmer Kickboxing Tournament.

Phase 2, taking place from October to November 2025, will feature the Southern region's People's Public Security Tennis and Pickleball tournaments.

Besides sports, the program also organizes many cultural and entertainment activities such as music performances, fashion shows , and culinary - sports - connection experience spaces.

The 2025 Sports Festival is expected to attract more than 7,000 participants, including armed forces, sports clubs and sports-loving communities across the country.
