Many flights from Ho Chi Minh City to the North were canceled due to storm Ragasa.

(Dan Tri) - On the evening of September 24, Vietnam Airlines continued to adjust flight schedules due to the developments of storm Ragasa (storm number 9).

Accordingly, on September 25, Vietnam Airlines will cancel 6 flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Cat Bi, including: VN7270, VN7271, VN7274, VN7275, VN7278 and VN7279. Some flights on the Ho Chi Minh City - Cat Bi route have had their departure times changed, such as flight VN1176 changed to 4:30 p.m., VN1177 took off at 7:05 p.m.

Also on the same day, flights to and from Tho Xuan airport (Thanh Hoa) will have their take-off and landing times adjusted from 10:30 to 12:00. Flights at Cat Bi airport ( Hai Phong ) will be adjusted after 18:00.

Flights operated by Pacific Airlines, including BL6440 will take off at 21:15, flight BL6441 will take off at 23:55.

In addition, flights between Da Nang and Cat Bi will have to change their operating schedule, including: VN1670 with a new take-off time at 5:00 p.m. and VN1671 taking off at 6:55 p.m.

At the same time, many other domestic and international flights may be affected by the storm's impact.

Previously, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam sent a telegram to aviation units to focus on and proactively respond to super typhoon Ragasa. Authorities asked airlines to closely monitor the storm's developments to have plans to adjust flight plans or change flight schedules accordingly.
