European Cup C2 results: Man Utd almost lost to unknown team

Man Utd hosted Bodo/Glimt in the 5th round of the European Cup C2. This was also the debut of new head coach Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford. After the opening whistle, Man Utd proactively raised their squad and soon got what they needed. In the first minute of the match, Rasmus Hojlund's effort caused goalkeeper Haikin to make a mistake, Garnacho easily tapped the ball into the empty net to open the score.

In the 45th minute, Marzaoui handled the ball with class and assisted Hojlund to finish delicately to help Man Utd draw 2-2.

In the second half, Man Utd quickly took the advantage. From a skillful backheel pass by Mason Mount, Ugarte entered the penalty area and crossed for Hojlund to score, raising the score to 3-2.

Relieved of the psychological pressure, Man Utd played very well and constantly made the opponent's defense waver. But this was a match in which Garnacho played very poorly. He handled the ball wrongly many times despite his teammates passing the ball smoothly. In both times facing Haikin, the Argentine striker missed his chances.

Towards the end of the match, Bodo/Glimt rose up and had chances to score but Andre Onana played brilliantly. Man Utd ended the match with a 3-2 victory and Coach Amorim had a good start at home.
