Opening of the photo exhibition celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Lao Dong Newspaper

The event took place at the Pavillon Tan Son Nhat Convention Center (202 Hoang Van Thu, Duc Nhuan Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), within the framework of the 50th Anniversary of the founding of the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper.

This is a journey back in time, depicting the formation, development and growth of a major newspaper. A voice rich in identity, steadfast in the revolutionary press, always accompanying the workers, reflecting truthfully, humanely and responsibly towards society.

The exhibition tells the story of 50 years through vivid images, artifacts and memories, bringing to viewers from the first prints in Cu Chi underground in 1965 under the name of Liberation Workers Newspaper, to a renewed, convergent, digitally transformed Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper.

Delegates attending the exhibition include: Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet - Former member of the Politburo, former President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Ms. Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh - Former member of the Party Central Committee, former Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Journalist Tran Trong Dung - Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association , in charge of the South; Ms. Nguyen Thi Le - former Deputy Secretary City Party Committee, former Chairman of the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the City Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City;... and many other delegates.

The photo exhibition "Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper in the flow of 100 years of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press" is an opportunity for us to look back at the outstanding marks of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper in that 50-year journey. Each photo, each caption is a vivid slice, demonstrating the process of formation, growth and development of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper" - Journalist To Dinh Tuan - Editor-in-Chief of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, emphasized.

Not only actively contributing on the information front, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper also focuses on organizing and implementing programs and activities behind the newspaper. Over the past 50 years, especially in the last 6-7 years, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper has been known for a series of programs and events that have had a wide influence and profound social and humanistic meaning.

Notable among them are the programs and activities that resonated nationwide: "Proud of the National Flag" - the predecessor of the program "One million national flags with fishermen at sea", Mai Vang Award/ "Mai Vang gratitude" program, "Bringing school to candidates", the event "Honoring Vietnamese Coffee - Tea", "Proud of my Fatherland" Half-marathon, "I love Vietnam" Golf Tournament...

The exhibition "The Lao Dong Newspaper in the flow of 100 years of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press" includes 32 photos. Of which, 24 photos are from the Lao Dong Newspaper and 8 photos are from other newspapers.

In addition, the exhibition also introduces to viewers a number of certificates, awards, commemorative medals... In particular, the exhibition displays an oil painting of 30 outstanding artists of 30 years of Mai Vang Award by artist Le Sa Long.

Many artists: People's Artist Minh Vuong, People's Artist Trinh Kim Chi, People's Artist My Uyen, Duc Tuan... visited the exhibition.
