As part of the series of events of the Bac Giang Province Culture - Tourism Week 2025, on the morning of February 8, at Tay Yen Tu Spiritual - Ecological Tourism Area, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (VHTTDL) of Bac Giang province organized the opening ceremony of the exhibition "The Path of Propagating Buddhism of the Buddhist Patriarchs of Truc Lam Yen Tu". Attending the opening ceremony were representatives of leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches, leaders of Son Dong district, and a large number of people and tourists.
Bac Giang is a land of important strategic position, playing the role of a "fence" in the North to protect the Thang Long citadel, closely associated with the historical process of building and defending the country of the nation. Under the Ly - Tran dynasties, Bac Giang became an important Buddhist center, marking the brilliant development of the Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen sect, crystallizing into rich and unique national cultural heritage values in two aspects: tangible culture and intangible culture.
At the exhibition space, the Organizing Committee (OC) widely introduced to the public and visitors more than 50 images, over 100 typical artifacts selected from 11 archaeological excavation sites at Buddhist ruins and relics of the Ly - Tran dynasties in 7 districts, towns and cities: Bac Giang, Luc Nam, Luc Ngan, Yen The, Lang Giang, Chu, Viet Yen.
These artifacts are valuable material evidences affirming the development, prosperity and spread of Buddhism in the Ly - Tran dynasties in Bac Giang. At the same time, they are also the basis and scientific basis for Bac Giang province to continue researching and restoring the path of propagating Buddhism of the Truc Lam Yen Tu Buddhist ancestors.
Also in the exhibition space is a system of typical historical relics on the western slope of Yen Tu, located on the tourist route reconstructing the "Buddhism propagation path of the Truc Lam Yen Tu Buddhist ancestors". Here, there are still imprints of Truc Lam Yen Tu Buddhism on steles and relics discovered through surveys and archaeological excavations at relics such as Vinh Nghiem Pagoda; the system of Yen Ma Pagoda, Hon Thap Pagoda, Binh Long Pagoda, Ho Bac Pagoda, Dam Tri Pagoda... In the coming time, this will be a key and unique tourism product of spiritual tourism in Bac Giang province.
In addition, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also offers a space for experiencing woodblock printing related to Buddhism to honor and introduce a cultural beauty in traditional woodblock carving of the nation. The experience activity has attracted a large number of tourists to participate in woodblock printing.
Through thematic exhibition activities to widely propagate to the people and tourists from all over the world about the value of typical cultural heritages of Bac Giang province as well as the profound ideology of Truc Lam Yen Tu Buddhism. Thereby, contributing to educating patriotism, national pride, raising awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors and communities in joining hands to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of Bac Giang homeland.
At the same time, contribute to promoting and publicizing tourism potential, building the tourism brand "Returning to the sacred land of Tay Yen Tu" following the footsteps of the Buddha King, making Bac Giang tourism become an elite meeting place, a safe, attractive, civilized and friendly destination.
Also here, the Provincial Tourism Information and Promotion Center organized an exhibition and introduced works participating in the Bac Giang Tourism Photo Contest, introduced the province's specialty products, and provided tourism information about Bac Giang province.
It is known that the Culture - Tourism Week of Bac Giang province in 2025 will take place in 6 days (from February 8 to February 13). The opening ceremony of the Culture - Tourism Week and the opening of the Tay Yen Tu Spring Festival will take place at 9:00 a.m. on February 9 (ie January 12) at the Tay Yen Tu Spiritual - Ecological Tourism Area./.
