Lam Son Commune will continue to direct military and police forces to provide life jackets and rescue equipment; request village management boards to assign people to block off spillways... In particular, arrange permanent forces at key points to promptly evacuate households in areas at high risk of landslides and flash floods.

As reported by SGGP, on September 15, in the mountainous commune of Lam Son, there was heavy to very heavy rain, with additional heavy rain upstream causing flash floods in streams, causing flooding in some areas; landslides in some vulnerable areas. About 100 people including police, military, and militia worked with the people to evacuate property and overcome the damage.
According to the report, as of 9:00 a.m. this morning (September 16), the floods in the commune did not cause any human casualties, but they damaged more than 15 hectares of perennial trees including durian, rambutan, mangosteen, coconut... (worth more than 2.5 billion VND); over 10 hectares of agricultural land were completely washed away. Along with that, a 0.2-hectare Phalaenopsis orchid greenhouse, worth 5.5 billion VND, was completely washed away. In addition, the floods damaged many areas of ponds; landslides, and damaged 200m of internal roads...
Currently, the two commune verification teams are continuing to count and summarize the damage, promptly reporting to the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Agriculture and Environment for consideration and support for the people.
The Commune People's Committee also proposed the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee to direct the Department of Agriculture and Environment and the Irrigation Sub-Department to provide stone cages to promptly reinforce weak points, minimize landslides, and ensure the safety of people's lives and property...
