At the groundbreaking ceremony, Deputy Minister of Health Tran Van Thuan expressed his impression of the vision of those who contributed to creating AEGIS International Hospital, where the hospital - hotel - research center - specialist area coexist in a synchronous, cohesive whole and aim at a goal of improving human health in a comprehensive, sustainable and personalized way.

According to Mr. Thuan, the groundbreaking of AEGIS International Hospital is a vivid example of the correct policy of the Party and State in encouraging the socialization of healthcare, promoting public-private cooperation and strongly developing the system of high-quality private hospitals.

This is also a concrete step to realize Resolution No. 57 on science, technology, innovation and digital transformation; Resolution No. 68 on private economic development and Resolution No. 72 issued by General Secretary To Lam, which affirmed that promoting the development of private healthcare, mobilizing and effectively using all resources for healthcare development, is one of the breakthrough solutions to improve the capacity of Vietnam's healthcare system, contributing to strengthening the protection, care and improvement of people's health.

"Today's groundbreaking ceremony not only marks the beginning of a modern medical facility, but also adds another meaningful brick to the journey of improving the quality of medical examination and treatment in Vietnam," Mr. Thuan emphasized.

Meet the scale of 1,000 hospital beds

Previously, speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dong, General Director of VINACONEX Corporation, Chairman of the Board of Directors of AEGIS International Hospital, said that with a total investment of 4,500 billion VND, the hospital consists of 2 26-storey towers with 4 basements and 1 8-storey multi-purpose building. With a total floor area of ​​287,000 m2 , meeting the scale of 1,000 beds, AEGIS International Hospital is positioned to become one of the large-scale private medical complexes in Vietnam.

AEGIS Hospital is built according to the smart hospital model with full specialties, key centers such as: Precision Oncology Center, Cardiovascular - Respiratory Center, Musculoskeletal and Rehabilitation Center, Obstetrics - Gynecology - Pediatrics and IVF Reproductive Support Center, Cosmetic Orthopedics and Regenerative Medicine Center, Diagnostic Imaging Center, Molecular Biology Testing Center...

At the groundbreaking ceremony, the hospital representative signed a cooperation agreement on research, technical support, training and technology transfer with Bach Mai Hospital, Xanh Pon Hospital, Hanoi Medical University, etc. and research institutes and medical organizations at home and abroad, especially partners from Japan.
