* In Lao Cai city: Candidates "complain" that Math is difficult
This afternoon (June 26), at all 6 exam locations in Lao Cai city, the weather was very favorable. The light sunshine was suitable for candidates and their families to travel to the exam locations.

At 1:30 p.m., candidates were called into the exam room to complete the procedures for the Math exam.
After 90 minutes of testing, the candidates completed the second subject and also ended the first day of testing. This year's Math test was designed in the form of multiple choice, with a test time of 90 minutes, starting at 2:30 p.m. and ending at 4 p.m.

After the Math exam, at the Lao Cai Specialized High School, many candidates gathered in front of the school yard to discuss and solve the questions. Many candidates said that this year's Math exam was quite long and required high thinking, if they did not read the questions carefully, they could easily lose points.
Nguyen Thuy Giang, a 12th grade math major at Lao Cai High School for the Gifted, said: I was quite surprised by the test. I didn't think there would be so many questions about probability. The short answer questions were also difficult. I expected to get 80% on the test.

Also at this test site, some other candidates were quite satisfied with the Math test. Although they did not get the expected score, they were confident of getting an 8 in Math.
Nguyen Viet Son, a 12th grade Chemistry major at Lao Cai High School for the Gifted, happily said: “The test is designed to classify students, with many easy and difficult questions interwoven. If you don’t have a firm grasp of the knowledge, it’s easy to lose points. Today, I did quite well on the test, and could have gotten 9 points.”
