First time organizing Sports Festival to welcome the Congress of Delegates of the Central Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Organizations

Attending the program were Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Party Committee Secretary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Central organizations, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien.

Also attending were Party Central Committee members: Ha Thi Nga, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee; Nguyen Dinh Khang, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Nguyen Thi Tuyen, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Women's Union.

Also attending were athletes who are cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, and workers of departments, units, agencies of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in the Central.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, emphasized that the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Organizations for the 2025-2030 term is a political event of profound significance, marking a new step in the process of building, consolidating and enhancing the role and position of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations.

Towards the Congress with confidence, enthusiasm and expectation, the cultural and sports activities organized are not only an opportunity to demonstrate the spirit of training, but also a practical, lively and meaningful welcoming activity of the staff, civil servants, public employees, and workers of the departments and units of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in the Central.

“Organizing this Sports Festival not only aims to improve the spiritual life and health of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers, but also is an opportunity for departments and units to exchange, learn, strengthen solidarity, and contribute to consolidating the great solidarity bloc between departments and units; especially in the coming time when we will work together at one headquarters,” the Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor stated.

Held for the first time to celebrate a particularly meaningful activity, the Sports Festival gathered many outstanding athletes from departments and units of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at the Central level.

Athletes will compete in 3 sports: Tug of war, pickleball and table tennis, with a total of 12 events. These are sports that not only train physical strength, endurance, and flexible reflexes, but also clearly demonstrate team spirit, coordination and cohesion between athletes.

The 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations for the 2025-2030 term is expected to take place on September 22 and 23, 2025 at the Vietnam Youth Academy (Hanoi).

Regarding the composition of the delegates, the congress had the participation of 350 delegates. Of which, the natural delegates were 31 comrades in the Executive Committee, the elected delegates attending the Congress were 18 comrades from 5 party organizations; the appointed delegates were 301 delegates from 20 affiliated party organizations. The delegates attending were ensured to follow the correct structure.
