Tran Hung Dao Temple Festival Spring At Ty 2025

On the night of February 11 (January 14, At Ty year), at the National Historical - Cultural Relic Site of Tran Hung Dao Temple (Tho Khoi village, Yen Duong commune), the People's Committee of Ha Trung district organized the Tran Hung Dao Temple Festival Spring At Ty 2025.

Comrade Dao Xuan Yen, Standing Committee Member, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, stamped the seal at the festival.

Attending the festival were comrades: Dao Xuan Yen, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Le Duc Giang, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of leaders of provincial departments, agencies, and branches; districts, towns, and cities in the province; the Tran family liaison committee of Thanh Hoa province, along with a large number of people and tourists.

In a sacred and respectful atmosphere, Comrade Dao Xuan Yen, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, and delegates offered incense and expressed gratitude for the great contributions of Hung Dao Dai Vuong and predecessors who had contributed to the country.

Tho Khoi Temple (or Tran Hung Dao Temple) is a special temple in Thanh land, the place that sheltered and bore the footprints of the national hero Hung Dao Dai Vuong and King Tran in the second resistance war against the Yuan-Mongol invaders in the spring of 1285.

Faced with the power of the Yuan-Mongol invading army, King Hung Dao, with his intelligence and strategy, led the royal court from Thien Truong across the sea to Thanh Hoa to find a strategic location to retreat and wait for the opportunity to counterattack; and the land of Tam Giang - Tho Khoi, where three rivers converge: Tong Giang, Hoat Giang and Lung Khe, was the place chosen by King Hung Dao as a base to protect the safety of the royal court and to concentrate on consolidating and building up forces.

During his time here, Hung Dao Dai Vuong and King Tran mingled with the people, were protected and nurtured by the people; young men in the region flocked to join the army. In just a short time, the army was fully formed, marching straight to the North with resounding victories such as: Chuong Duong, Ham Tu, Tay Ket... liberating Thang Long land, bringing the second resistance war against the Yuan-Mongol invaders to complete victory.

After Hung Dao Dai Vuong passed away, to show respect and gratitude, the people in the area built a temple on the land where he and King Tran had stationed troops.

The temple was recognized as a national historical and cultural relic in 1996. This is the largest Tran Hung Dao Temple in Thanh Hoa that still preserves many ancient relics and artifacts.

The Tran Hung Dao Temple Festival is held with traditional rituals such as Nam Quan worship, congratulatory speech, incense offering, seal opening and art program to welcome the festival.

At exactly 12 o'clock on the night of January 14 and early morning of January 15, Comrade Dao Xuan Yen, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department and Comrade Le Duc Giang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, performed the ceremony of opening the seal of Tran Hung Dao Temple to pray for national peace, people's peace, health and prosperity.

The Tran Hung Dao Temple Festival is organized to contribute to educating the tradition of patriotism; preserving and promoting cultural values; promoting the spirit of solidarity to build the homeland to become increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.
