Representatives of An Giang Provincial Labor Federation and VietinBank Kien Giang branch signed a cooperation agreement.
According to the cooperation agreement, in the period of 2025 - 2030, VietinBank Kien Giang will provide 5,500 workers and laborers with access to preferential loans with a total capital of 500 billion VND, helping workers improve their living conditions, work with peace of mind, and stay away from black credit.
VietinBank Kien Giang cooperates with the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation to implement programs to improve financial knowledge, provide personal financial advice, and encourage savings habits with the goal of reaching 50 billion VND in savings deposits from workers. VietinBank Kien Giang will support social security for 600 workers in difficult circumstances.
Leaders of An Giang Provincial Labor Federation and VietinBank Kien Giang branch presented loan disbursement and gifts to workers and employees of Kien Hung Joint Stock Company's Trade Union.
Mr. Le Minh Kha, Director of the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade, Kien Giang branch, said: "We are committed to closely coordinating with the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation to synchronously deploy solutions, constantly improve products and services, and apply modern technology to best serve the needs of workers and laborers."
In the context of complicated developments of black credit, negatively affecting the lives and social security, especially workers and laborers, the coordination between VietinBank Kien Giang branch and An Giang Provincial Labor Federation to implement the project "Organizing Trade Unions to prevent and combat black credit among workers and laborers" is an effective solution to protect the rights, improve the material and spiritual life of workers, contribute to building a strong Trade Union organization, enhance the prestige and position of the two units.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Do Tran Thinh, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation, said that the implementation of the cooperation agreement aims to ensure that workers have access to legitimate capital sources with reasonable interest rates. Mr. Do Tran Thinh believes that the cooperation between the two units will contribute to pushing back the problem of black credit in the coming time.
On this occasion, VietinBank Kien Giang branch disbursed loans to workers and employees of the Trade Union of Kien Hung Joint Stock Company.
