The 20km route from Thu Duc to the city center will be very close to the metro and bus routes connecting to the stations. The new Eastern Bus Station is no longer far away. Currently, to go from the new Eastern Bus Station (Ho Chi Minh City borders Binh Duong ) to the city center, people have to spend at least an hour. With metro line 1, the journey from Ben Thanh to this bus station is only about 30 minutes. People from all districts can take the bus and take the metro to get to the Eastern Bus Station quickly and most economically. Ms. Vu Minh Huyen - Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Management Board - said that at the elevated stations (except Suoi Tien Bus Station), there are private parking lots. Passengers have many ways to easily get to the metro station, especially the 17 electric bus routes that directly connect these stations. At the three underground stations of the route, there are public bicycle and bus stations. There are nine pedestrian bridges connecting to the stations, creating a path for people to easily cross Vo Nguyen Giap Street and Hanoi Highway to get on the train. According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Da Thao - Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Public Transport Management Center, 17 new electric bus routes not only conveniently connect to the metro but also increase the number of routes for people to choose to go to other neighboring areas. The city's bus system has increased to 137 routes with 2,202 vehicles. Metro-connected bus routes run from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. along with the operating time of metro line 1. There is a trip passing through the station every 8-12 minutes. Information about 17 bus routes and metro line 1 has been updated on the Go!bus application. "Electric buses will be connected with other public transport modes. In the near future, the application will be upgraded and new features will be added, so people can quickly pay for public transport in Ho Chi Minh City," Ms. Thao said.

Metro is welcoming passengers today. My family is really excited today when thinking about our child's future, about the traffic in the city where he goes to school today and to work in the future. Traveling will be fast, modern and civilized.
* Ms. Nguyen Nhat Diem (Di An, Binh Duong) :

The 20km commute is not far anymore.

My house is near Thu Duc University Village (Di An City, Binh Duong). For a long time, I have been riding my motorbike more than 20km every day, taking about an hour to go through the often congested roads such as Hanoi Highway and Vo Nguyen Giap. From now on, the daily fatigue and struggles will be put aside. I will take the metro from the National University Station to Ben Thanh Station in less than 30 minutes. I will not be tired, I will not worry about traffic jams, nor will I be afraid of dust, heat or rain like before. I will have some time to admire the scenery on both sides of the train tracks, promising to go home with a more relaxed and comfortable spirit every day. The metro, when put into operation, will contribute to limiting the number of motorbikes traveling on the route, helping to reduce emissions to the environment and reduce air pollution. I hope to see traffic through the city route become more modern and civilized. Students and workers using the metro will save time, be healthier and safer every day. * Ms. Pham Thi Hoang (Thu Duc City):

Tomorrow my child will be a "metro citizen"

My 13-year-old son eagerly waits for the day he can take the 163 electric bus (with a stop only 500 steps from home) to Binh Thai station to take the metro to District 1 to study a foreign language. The bus and train will take him to and from his destination, without getting caught in the rain, sun, and dust like he has been doing on a motorbike for the past 7-8 years. And more than that, my son will learn to be independent on his way home, learn how to behave on the metro to become a more civilized young passenger than his parents, for sure! The metro will be a convenient and safe means of transport for teenagers. The easier and faster journey to school for children will help many families have more peace of mind when they don't have to pick up and drop off their children by motorbike. Metro train No. 1 really brings opportunities and conveniences to many people like us.
