The match was dramatic with 3 penalty kicks. The final result was Can Tho University winning 2-1 against Nam Can Tho University despite a player being sent off and a penalty kick being unsuccessful. The only goal scored by Nam Can Tho University was also scored from the 11m mark.

If they drew, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance would have a good chance of getting a ticket to the play-off round for the second-place team with the best record.
The “final” match of group 2 was very exciting when the two teams played without compromise. K EAST SOUTH AREA DETERMINED 2 SEMI-FINAL PAIRS
The Southeast region group stage ended yesterday at Bau Thanh Stadium (Long Dat District, Ba Ria-Vung Tau), thereby determining the 4 teams that qualified for the semi-finals. The 11-0 victory of Dong Nai University of Technology over Lilama 2 International College of Technology not only helped them rank first in Group 2 but also helped Lac Hong University revive and advance thanks to a better goal difference than Lilama 2 International College of Technology.
In group 1, the Ba Ria-Vung Tau University team defeated the Sonadezi College of Technology and Management with a score of 6-0 to take the top spot with 6 points. They will meet Lac Hong University in the semi-finals of the Southeast region at 4:00 p.m. on January 10. In the remaining semi-final, the Binh Duong University team will face the group 1 winner, Dong Nai University of Technology. The two winning teams in the two semi-final pairs will play the final match at 3:30 p.m. on January 12, to select the only representative of the Southeast region to attend the final round in Ho Chi Minh City.
