
Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance proposes that from the August 2025 payment period, beneficiaries receiving cash when receiving monthly pensions and social insurance benefits need to bring their ID cards so that the Social Insurance agency can update and complete missing management information.
At the payment points, the Social Insurance agency will coordinate with the bank to open an account for the beneficiary who does not have an account. In case the beneficiary already has a bank account, they need to provide information to the Social Insurance agency to switch to receiving pension and Social Insurance benefits through the account from the next nearest payment period.
In case the beneficiary does not come to the payment point (such as the person receiving money at home, the authorized person) after the payment date, the Social Insurance agency will coordinate with the bank to invite the beneficiary to the Social Insurance headquarters or a convenient location to open a personal account. As for the elderly beneficiary, the beneficiary with poor health can authorize their children to receive the money on their behalf through their personal account.
According to the HCM City Social Insurance, receiving pensions and social insurance benefits through personal accounts helps beneficiaries save time and effort, without having to gather to sign at the payment point; ensuring quick, safe, accurate and timely receipt of pensions and social insurance benefits.
In addition, the form of paying pensions and social insurance benefits through personal accounts is consistent with the Government 's orientation of digital transformation and development of non-cash payments, contributing to improving service efficiency for people and businesses and bringing many practical benefits to social insurance beneficiaries.
