Bamboo shoots are picked from the forest by the Bru - Van Kieu people to supply to the owners. The owners continue to hire local workers, mainly the Bru - Van Kieu and Ta Oi people, to sort the bamboo shoots, dry them, and then load them onto trucks to transport downstream.
