On the first day of Tet, Vice Chairman of Binh Thuan province went to the train station to welcome tourists.

Train SPT 2 from Saigon Station (HCMC) departed at 7am the same day and arrived at Phan Thiet Station at 11:30am, bringing 210 passengers to Binh Thuan on New Year's Day. Among the visitors arriving at Phan Thiet Station on New Year's Day were 51 international visitors from European countries, the US, South Korea and China.

Mr. Nguyen Minh, Vice Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee, presented gifts to international tourists who came to Binh Thuan on the afternoon of the first day of the Lunar New Year.

Binh Thuan Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with Phan Thiet station and Railway Transport Company to carefully organize a welcoming ceremony for tourists.

Tourists arriving in Binh Thuan were welcomed by Mr. Nguyen Minh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and given lucky money according to the traditional Vietnamese custom at the beginning of the New Year.

International tourists were surprised to receive New Year wishes, gifts and lucky money according to traditional Vietnamese customs.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Dieu (from Quang Nam ), currently working in Ho Chi Minh City, excitedly said that this year, because he could not return to his hometown for Tet, he chose the Mui Ne - Phan Thiet route to take his family on vacation during Tet.

"I think the current Mui Ne route is suitable because the train is very comfortable for small children both on the way there and back. I know that in Mui Ne the seafood is very fresh and delicious, the sea is beautiful, and coming here to receive a lucky money envelope at the beginning of the year like this, it's really fun," said Mr. Dieu.

Ms. Fieke from the Netherlands said she was very pleased to come to Binh Thuan on the first day of the Vietnamese New Year with a thoughtful welcome.

Similarly, Mrs. Fieke from the Netherlands happily said: "My husband and I were so surprised by the lucky money gifts we received when we first arrived here, the joyful atmosphere. Happy traditional Vietnamese New Year and a good year to you all."

International visitors are delighted to be warmly welcomed.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan, although there are no specific statistics, during the 2024 Lunar New Year holidays, the number of visitors to resorts in Mui Ne - Phan Thiet and surrounding areas is almost full. In particular, 4-5 star resorts were all full until the 5th day of the Lunar New Year, with a capacity of over 95%. In particular, this year the number of international visitors to Mui Ne is very large, mainly from Europe, America, Korea and China.

In 2023, Binh Thuan tourism will reap a bumper crop thanks to the advantages of the National Tourism Year and the opening of two expressways passing through Binh Thuan. Thanks to that, the province has welcomed over 8.5 million visitors, with tourism revenue reaching over VND23,500 billion.

At the end of the reception, Mr. Nguyen Minh, Vice Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee, wished a happy new year and gave lucky money to the officers and staff of SPT 2 train.
