This case is a male patient born in 1981, had a serious accident on Nhat Tan bridge, suffered multiple injuries, was in a deep coma, and his life was in danger.

At the time of the accident, Deputy Minister of Health Tran Van Thuan, on his way to work, promptly stopped his car, directly inspected the scene and quickly cleared the way to take the victim to E Hospital for emergency treatment.
The Deputy Minister also immediately contacted Hospital E to prepare the best conditions for emergency treatment as soon as the patient arrived.
When the victim was transferred to Hospital E, Deputy Minister Tran Van Thuan personally encouraged and asked the doctors to urgently implement intensive emergency measures to save the patient's life.
Receiving the patient on the afternoon of September 4 in a state of multiple trauma shock, deep coma, life-threatening, doctors quickly determined that the patient had multiple trauma shock with traumatic brain injury with subdural hematoma and brain parenchyma contusion, subarachnoid hemorrhage; multiple rib fractures, closed chest trauma causing hemothorax and pneumothorax.
"The patient with serious injuries, if not given proper and timely first aid and intensive resuscitation at a medical facility, will be in danger of death. The patient was taken to the hospital as soon as possible after the accident, in time for treatment within the golden hour," said the treating doctor.
E Hospital has activated the hospital-wide alarm system, mobilizing all emergency, anesthesia, resuscitation, surgery, and intensive care departments to coordinate with the hospital's Medical Advisory Board.
The patient was quickly treated in an emergency, with open pleural surgery, diagnostic tests performed simultaneously with active resuscitation measures, emergency surgery to remove cerebral hematoma, brain decompression to relieve compression and control the damage.
After 2 weeks of treatment, the patient was awake, lifting his arms and legs and responding to questions from doctors and relatives. Doctors are currently assessing the patient's general condition, and when the patient is eligible, he will be transferred to rehabilitation.
