Welcome Day for 6th grade students of Bac Cuong Secondary and High School

On June 29, Bac Cuong Secondary and High School (Lao Cai city) organized a festival to welcome 6th grade students and meet parents of students for the 2025-2026 school year with the theme "Parents of 6th grade students - their children's companions".

The festival is held to create the best mindset for students when entering a new learning environment, and at the same time to share and support parents when their children start to move from primary school to secondary school.

This is the first collective activity of Bac Cuong Secondary and High School since the Decision on establishment was announced on June 10.

At the festival, 341 6th grade students heard an introduction about the school, some summer activities, and information about the 2018 General Education Program for secondary school level. Students and parents expressed their hope and trust in sending their children to the new learning environment.

The school also organized many physical games, special performances and creative experiential activities, marking the start of a new school year full of joy and excitement.

After the festival, the school's 6th grade students will participate in the "Summer Preparation" course consisting of 15 sessions with 60 lessons and 12 topics: "Students get acquainted with teachers and school", "Collective living skills", "Art and life", "Unity and gratitude", " Sports and life", "I am a global citizen", "Developing critical thinking", "We join hands to build a safe school", "Life gift books", "My products", "Mastering knowledge and learning skills", "Summary gala".

At the festival, students participated in many fun cultural and sports activities.

According to Decision 1606/QD-UBND dated May 21, 2025 of the Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee on the establishment of Bac Cuong Secondary and High School, the school was established on the basis of upgrading Bac Cuong Secondary School (Lao Cai city) from June 1, 2025. It is expected that in the 2025 - 2026 school year, the school will have 33 classes with more than 1,200 students, including 341 6th graders.
