Belarusian Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik is scheduled to pay an official visit to India from March 12-13, BelTA news agency reported.

According to a press release from the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik will hold talks with his host counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, heads of several Indian ministries, government agencies and business leaders.
The two sides are expected to discuss bilateral, regional and international issues in detail.
Previously, in January 2024, the two Foreign Ministers of India and Belarus met on the occasion of attending the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit in the capital Kampala of Uganda.
Sharing on social network X, Mr. Jaishankar assessed it as “a useful meeting”, the two sides “exchanged views on India-Belarus cooperation in various fields”, and “discussed developments related to the conflict in Ukraine”.
Belarus is pushing for its entry into the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), of which India is a member. Last month, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said he was confident Minsk would become a full member of the SCO at the bloc’s meeting in Astana in July.
