According to Reuters news agency, on social media, the Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament said that he had received Mr. Kuleba's resignation request and "this request will be considered at one of the next plenary sessions".

Previously, at least six Ukrainian officials in the country's Cabinet submitted their resignations, including Minister in charge of strategic industries Oleksandr Kamyshin, Minister of Justice, and Minister of Environmental Protection.

Two Deputy Prime Ministers of Ukraine, Iryna Vereshchuk and Olga Stefanishyna, and the head of the State Wealth Fund, Vitaliy Koval, also submitted their resignations along with the above group of officials.

The move comes as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's Cabinet undergoes a large-scale reshuffle, amid notable changes on the ground in the conflict in Ukraine.

In his nightly video address on September 3, Mr. Zelensky said the reshuffle was aimed at strengthening the government, stressing: "Autumn will be extremely important for Ukraine. And state institutions must be established to achieve all the results we need."

David Arakhamia, a Ukrainian lawmaker from the ruling Servant of the People party, said more than half of the Cabinet personnel will be changed.

Regarding this major move by Ukraine, on the same day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov affirmed that Kiev's reform does not affect the prospect of peace negotiations "in any form".
