On August 23, the inauguration ceremony of the Ho Chi Minh City Startup and Innovation Center (Sihub) building, located at 123 Truong Dinh, Xuan Hoa Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, officially took place.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, said that one of the important goals of Ho Chi Minh City is to enter the top 100 cities with the most dynamic innovative startup ecosystems globally.
The official operation of Sihub is an important nucleus in that ecosystem, helping to connect the startup community and promote innovation in the city.
Ho Chi Minh City especially welcomes and wishes to promote close cooperation with the world's leading technology corporations such as AMD, Nvidia, Phancom, Mitsubishi; and international partners from Finland, Austria, the UK, Australia, the US, South Korea, and Singapore.
The city is committed to creating the most favorable conditions for investment, cooperation, technology transfer and joint development, and can cooperate in research and development of core technologies, training high-quality human resources and building global supply chains.
Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy called on the startup community to take advantage of preferential policies, working spaces and connections that the city creates; strengthen the connection between the state - schools - businesses to turn research results into commercial products.
"Enterprises need to boldly invest in research and development (R&D), apply technology and new business models to improve productivity, quality and competitiveness," said the Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

Mr. Lam Dinh Thang, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City, emphasized that the building is designed as a common home for the startup ecosystem, where ideas are nurtured and developed into products and services that bring practical value to society.
According to the Department of Science and Technology, Sihub is positioned as a "common home", a nucleus connecting resources in the startup ecosystem, a place to test new policies.
Sihub has a scale of nearly 17,000m2
With a scale of nearly 17,000m², this building is operated under a dynamic public-private partnership model, aiming to provide "one-stop" services for the startup community.
From the 1st to the 3rd floor is a common space for State-managed programs, where talents are nurtured and support policies are spread.
From the 4th to the 7th floor is the area where social resources converge, including incubators, venture capital funds, and domestic and foreign technology corporations to directly invest in and support startups.
The establishment of Sihub is a strategic step to realize the goal of bringing Ho Chi Minh City into the top 100 cities with the most dynamic innovation ecosystems globally.
This project is expected to be a bridge between knowledge, creativity and entrepreneurship, strongly promoting the connection between "State - School - Enterprise".
