In the decisive match to win a ticket to the final round, Hue University, the defending champion at that time, could not beat the team of Da Nang University of Physical Education and Sports .

And now, Hue University team is determined to regain its position. In the group stage of the Central Coast region, Hue University team had a difficult start, when they were lucky to get 1 point (0-0 draw) againstFPT Polytechnic College team. But when they were forced to win in the final match, Hue University team showed their mettle at the right time and played an explosive match to defeat the University of Technical Education - University of Danang with a score of 5-0.

The victory in the crucial match helped Hue University become the only representative of the ancient capital to participate in the play-off round. "When coming to Da Nang to compete in the qualifying round, the whole team was determined to win a ticket to the final round. Hue University is a team with tradition and was crowned in the first season in 2023. Therefore, we want to show the spirit of a champion, to have a second time in Ho Chi Minh City to play in the final round," added Deputy Coach Duong Van Dung.

Diep Dung Bach is a potential striker of Hue University team. He scored 2 beautiful goals, helping his team win 5-0 in the key match to get a ticket to the play-off.

However, Duy Tan University is not an easy team to bully, having won the ticket to the next round with an undefeated record. The playoff match is completely different. Therefore, as Mr. Dung said, the 2023 champion Hue University needs to continue to show their mettle at the right time to be able to overcome the challenge.
