Many Apple Intelligence features delayed until 2025

According to MacRumors , a source from Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman revealed that Apple will not fully launch the most advanced Apple Intelligence features in the official version of iOS 18 next September. Instead, these features, along with Siri improvements, will be introduced in an iOS 18 update expected to launch in 2025.

Siri will still get some minor upgrades in the initial iOS 18, however, including a new interface, better natural language understanding, better Apple product support, and text input options.

Bigger improvements to Siri and Apple Intelligence will have to wait until next year. The iOS 18 update in 2025 is expected to bring features like personal context, semantic indexing, app controls, and on-screen awareness.

Additionally, some new AI features in the Mail app and the Swift Assist programming tool won't be ready until late 2024. Siri integration with ChatGPT could also be delayed, though it's likely to launch this year.

Despite missing some notable features, the initial iOS 18 release will still offer a variety of useful AI features, including notification prioritization, content summarization, image generation, and Genmoji emoji.
