Therefore, Mr. Loc emphasized that the most important thing when doing math is that students must be careful, meticulous, and be sure of their methods, explanations, and results.

Regarding the subject of literature, Mr. Tran Tien Thanh, subject specialist of the Department of Education and Training, informed that for many years, students often think that grading the exams of students taking specialized schools and classes will be more difficult than that of students taking the regular 10th grade exam. However, Mr. Thanh affirmed that grading the 10th grade entrance exam is carried out according to the general regulations of the grading council, according to the answers and grading scale that have been agreed upon and approved by the entire council. The examiners will not know whether the exam is of a candidate taking the specialized or regular exam, so there will be no "more difficult grading".

In addition, for many years, students have always thought that topic 2 in the literary argument section is always more difficult than topic 1, difficult to get points, so they often skip it and actively do not choose to do it. However, this is actually an open topic, creating conditions for students to show their abilities instead of learning by rote. In fact, this topic is very easy to impress the examiner if students have an independent perspective, expressing their personal opinions on a certain issue. Students may not write well but honestly, expressing their thoughts, personal impact... So they have scored points in this part of the essay.

The literature expert also pointed out another mistake students make when writing essays: they think that the longer they write, the higher their score will be. "This is completely wrong. Candidates who write long but rambling, incomplete, and paraphrasing prose will not only not get high scores but will also confuse the examiners when grading the essay," said Mr. Thanh.

Disciplinary levels for violations in the exam room

Reprimand: Candidates commit the mistake of looking at or exchanging papers with other candidates.

Warning: Deduction of 25% of total exam score: Candidates have been reprimanded once but during the exam continue to violate exam regulations at the reprimand level; exchange exam papers or scratch paper with other candidates; copy other candidates' papers or let other candidates copy their papers.

Suspension from the exam: Candidates who have been warned once but during the exam continue to violate the exam regulations at the level of reprimand or warning; bring unauthorized items into the exam room; take the exam out of the exam room or receive answers from outside into the exam room; write or draw on their exam paper contents unrelated to the exam; have actions of quarreling, threatening those responsible for the exam or threatening other candidates.

He also noted that "fortune-telling and guessing" is a very harmful viewpoint in the process of students reviewing literature. Many students think that last year the exam was given on this work, but this issue will not be given on this year. Meanwhile, the Department of Education and Training has emphasized that the content of the 10th grade entrance exam is within the secondary school curriculum, mainly the 9th grade curriculum, so the exam can be given on any work, in some aspect. The orientation of this year's literature entrance exam will be highly "open". Students need to focus on practicing skills and accumulating knowledge to best fulfill the requirements of the exam.

On the other hand, Mr. Thanh said that students are haunted by the thought that the 10th grade entrance exam must be difficult and "must have many traps", leading to anxiety, stress, and pressure, affecting their test results. This is not advisable.

However, students often think that the entrance exam is "very difficult". Therefore, instead of mastering the vocabulary topics in the textbook, they spend a lot of time and effort doing the complex grammar structure sections.

In addition, students often make mistakes when doing essay questions, such as: Word Forms/Sentence transformation. According to the rules, when students make a mistake, even just a small spelling mistake, they will lose all points for that question.
