Problems that users 'headache' with Samsung smartphones

Even Samsung smartphone fans can admit to some common issues with the company's devices.

While these issues aren't serious enough to make users ditch their Samsung smartphones for other brands, they're frequent enough to be relatively annoying.

Too many pre-installed Samsung apps

Most Android smartphones come with a number of pre-installed apps (or bloatware), but Samsung takes it to the next level. Out of the box, Galaxy smartphones come with dozens of apps that you may never need, from Samsung’s own apps like Samsung TV and Samsung Members to Microsoft apps like Microsoft 365 and LinkedIn. Not only does this clutter up the interface, it also takes up storage space and drains battery.

Lack of support for multiple user profiles

One of the useful features of Android smartphones is the ability to create multiple user profiles to help users separate personal and work space. However, Samsung smartphones do not support this feature, although it is present on the Korean electronics company's tablets. Even when equipped with an equivalent feature called Secure Folder, it only allows locking applications and personal data without creating separate spaces for other users.

Not every Samsung smartphone runs full One UI

Causes confusion between One UI and One UI Core

All modern Samsung smartphones run on One UI, but the experience varies between models. High-end models like the Galaxy S or Z Fold get the full version, while budget models get One UI Core, a stripped-down version with many features cut down. This makes it difficult for users to tell the difference until they actually experience it.

Duplicate applications

Samsung pre-installs many of its own apps like Gallery, Phone, and Messages, but it still keeps many of the apps that Google provides with Android. This results in users having to deal with two apps for the same purpose. More importantly, users cannot uninstall many of Samsung's apps, causing discomfort when using them.

Too many annoying ads

When using, users will certainly feel annoyed with the frequent appearance of advertisements on Samsung smartphones, from the lock screen to default applications. This is not only annoying but also reduces the user experience, even on high-end smartphone models with high prices.

Slow charging speed

While Samsung smartphones stand out for their performance and solid build quality, one annoying thing is that their charging speeds are still slower than many of their competitors. While rival Chinese brands have reached charging speeds of up to 100W or even higher, Samsung is stuck at 45W for its latest flagship models.

Despite the aforementioned annoying limitations, Samsung smartphones are still one of the top choices for consumers. However, it is hoped that future models will overcome the aforementioned weaknesses to bring a better experience to users.
