Ninh Binh welcomes nearly half a million visitors during the April 30 and May 1 holidays

On May 2, Ninh Binh Department of Tourism said that during the 5-day holiday of April 30 - May 1 (from April 27 to May 1), the locality welcomed over 470,000 visitors, an increase of 37.47% compared to the 2023 holiday.

Tourists come to Ninh Binh during the celebration of the 10th anniversary of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage on the evening of April 26.

Of which, there are over 411,800 domestic visitors, an increase of 29.6% compared to the 2023 holiday; 58,200 international visitors, 2.39 times higher than the 2023 holiday. Tourism revenue reaches over 600 billion VND, an increase of 71% compared to the 2023 holiday.

According to the leader of Ninh Binh Department of Tourism, on the occasion of the April 30 and May 1 holidays, the locality held a ceremony to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage on the evening of April 26.

During the April 30 and May 1 holidays, Trang An tourist area welcomed 60,100 visitors.

In addition, there are many activities and events in response such as: International Scientific Conference "Promoting the role and value of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex in building a Millennium Heritage City and connecting world heritage cities".

In particular, the events of Trang An Festival Opening; "Heritage Imprint Marathon 2024"; Special art program "Brilliant Hoa Lu" in Hoa Lu Ancient Town; fireworks display on the evening of April 30 at 2 locations at Dinh Tien Hoang De Square and Trang An Cultural Park, etc. have attracted a large number of people and tourists to visit and enjoy.

Places with a large number of tourists include: Hoa Lu ancient town with 113,000 visitors; Trang An tourist area with 60,100 visitors; Bai Dinh mountain and pagoda spiritual tourist area with 50,500 visitors; Thung Nham bird garden with 34,900 visitors; Cuc Phuong national park with 31,100 visitors; Hoa Lu ancient capital with 19,700 visitors; Tam Coc - Bich Dong with 13,700 visitors; Khe Coc island with 15,050 visitors...

The average room occupancy rate in the province during the holiday season is 85-90%; The average number of guests staying is estimated at 1.7 days/guest. The highest number of guests are on the nights of April 27, 29, and 30.
