The content of the reflection of the people of Hung Son village was satisfactorily resolved.

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - Thanh Hoa Newspaper and Radio - Television Station received a petition from households living in Hung Son village, Ngoc Lac commune, reflecting that the construction of the Ho Chi Minh road flood drainage system under the Ngoc Lac urban infrastructure improvement sub-project (former Ngoc Lac district) has affected the daily life and activities of the people.

The contractor for the Ho Chi Minh road flood drainage system project under the Ngoc Lac urban infrastructure improvement sub-project has spread and compacted the road for households in Hung Son village, Ngoc Lac commune.

According to the complaint of the households in Hung Son village, the Ngoc Lac urban infrastructure improvement sub-project was implemented in August 2024, with Tan Thanh Joint Stock Company as the main contractor. This included the Ho Chi Minh road flood drainage system. During the construction process, the subcontractor did not comply with the regulations on ensuring safety of the construction site and surrounding areas, such as: no fences or signs to inform people; cutting off long-standing residential roads; manholes of the flood drainage system did not have covers, posing a risk of accidents at any time. Recently, during the heavy rains in July 2025, garbage and mud flowed down from Ho Chi Minh road into the residential area, causing congestion and eroding the gate and garden of households.

To clarify the content of the people's reflection, we went to Hung Son village to find out the matter. Talking with Mr. Bui Van Tung, Party cell secretary and head of Hung Son village, we learned: "Previously, through village meetings, we received feedback from people about the construction of the Ho Chi Minh road flood drainage system affecting the lives and activities of 7 households on the section and route of the project. On behalf of the village, I reported the content of the people's reflection to the People's Committee of Ngoc Lac town, old Ngoc Lac district. Recently, when the 2-level local government came into operation, I continued to report the content of the matter and recommended that the People's Committee of Ngoc Lac commune promptly direct the resolution, responding to the thoughts and aspirations of the households."

Working with the leaders of Ngoc Lac commune, we learned that after receiving the petition from the households of Hung Son village, the local government coordinated with the Department of Construction, the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Agricultural and Rural Development Works, the construction contractor, and the supervision consultant to go to the site to inspect the site and record the people's feedback and recommendations. Accordingly, the People's Committee of Ngoc Lac commune requested the construction contractor to quickly resolve and overcome the shortcomings and problems that the households of Hung Son village reported.

Implementing the opinion of Ngoc Lac Commune People's Committee, Tan Thanh Joint Stock Company has directed the subcontractor to mobilize forces and means to focus on solving the problems mentioned in the petition of the people. Up to now, the contractor has spread and rolled the road so that people can have convenient access and ensure that the gates and gardens of households are not eroded or sunk when there is heavy rain and water flows down from Ho Chi Minh road. Along with that, the contractor also collects accumulated garbage, covers the manholes of the Ho Chi Minh road flood drainage system passing through the residential area, and stretches ropes to ensure the safety of the people. In the coming time, the contractor commits to speed up the construction progress to meet the needs of local people.
