Meritorious Artist Chi Trung brings the feelings of a 'retired boss' to the stage

On the evening of December 29, at the Vietnam - Soviet Union Friendship Cultural Palace, a recording session of the program "Tet Van Loc" with the theme "Love Spring" took place. MC Thao Van, Nguyen Huu Chien Thang and Bach Cong Khanh took on the role of program hosts.

The highlight of this year's Tet Van Loc is still the tragicomedies that deal with prominent social issues.

This year, the program has 3 skits: High-end Marketing brings a humorous story of the marketing profession - taking advantage of the trust of the villagers to cheat money, End of Year Stories talks about the feelings of retired bosses waiting for their colleagues and former employees to visit and Bao Cong Ky An .

Among them, the skit " Year-End Story " performed by artists Chi Trung, Minh Hang, Quang Teo, and Hiep Vit brought the audience hearty laughs but also filled with sadness about life and world affairs.

The "silly", simple acting style and the deep satire of Meritorious Artist Chi Trung made the skit both profound and closer to the audience.

In the music part of the program, general director Nguyen Cong Vuong also cleverly incorporated quan ho, cheo, and ca tru performances.

Opening the music part of the program were two Quan Ho singing performances by People's Artist Thuy Huong and artist Thuy Hang - Head of the Vietnam UNESCO Folk Art Troupe.

Choosing the theme Spring Love for the program, general director Nguyen Cong Vuong said: “This is not a new theme, but every year we welcome spring - the season of blossoming and bearing fruit, the season of growth and the season of love. However, not all love is perfect. There are loves filled with happiness, but there is also sadness that is difficult to name…”.

The program also featured a performance of the play Co Be Soc , directed by Dr. and artist Chu Bao Que, performed by Meritorious Artist Quynh Mai, artist Thu Trang, and Meritorious Artists Trong Quynh and Bao Chung.

Famous singer Huong Lan participated in the program.

The skillful combination of works with folk and traditional melodies with performances imbued with the breath of the times created an overall program that was both profound and bustling with the atmosphere of welcoming spring.
