Exemplary female veteran

Our first impression when meeting veteran Ma Thi Nang in zone 3, Van Co ward, Viet Tri city was her simple, honest appearance with an enthusiastic and responsible working spirit.

In 1980, when she was just 17 years old, Ms. Nang joined the army, assigned to unit 17354 of the Information Command, stationed in Khai Xuan commune, Thanh Ba district. In 1989, she transferred to work at Hoa Phong Export Garment Company (Nong Trang ward, Viet Tri city), and retired in 1998. Returning to normal life, she and her family focused on economic development and participated in local activities, regularly mobilizing family members and people in the area to properly implement the Party's policies and guidelines, the State's policies and laws; actively participating in movements and campaigns of the ward and the city.

In 2016, Ms. Nang and her family established Ngoc Quang Dai Company Limited, specializing in sewing packaging for export to Korea, Japan, etc. and supplying to the domestic market. This was also the time when she decided to participate in activities with members of the War Veterans Association of the area and the Ward War Veterans Association. After 8 years of establishment and operation, currently the company of War Veteran Ma Thi Nang's family has a revenue of about 5-6 billion VND/year, creating stable jobs for over 100 workers.

Not only good at business, during her participation in the Association's activities and local social work, Veteran Ma Thi Nang always accompanied and supported the organization of movements effectively and practically. In particular, she was always a pioneer in charity and humanitarian activities, joining hands to help those in difficult circumstances, and organizing the Association to visit members and families of veterans when they were sick.

With her precious kindness, she has many times joined volunteer groups to go to schools in the highland provinces to give books, school supplies, and clothes to students, hoping to share and help them have more opportunities to go to school or join groups to support people affected by floods in the localities...

Being a friendly, open and honest person, veteran Ma Thi Nang is always loved by everyone. Sharing about her, Mr. Nguyen Huu Thuc - Chairman of the Association of Veterans of Viet Tri City said: Veteran Ma Thi Nang is an exemplary and enthusiastic member, always upholding the sense of responsibility in work, contributing to the emulation movements of the Association and actively participating in humanitarian and charitable work for the community.

With her contributions, veteran Ma Thi Nang has been commended and rewarded many times by the People's Committee of Viet Tri City and the Provincial Veterans Association, setting a shining example for the younger generation to learn from and follow.
