Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thai Binh , Deputy Director of the National Political Publishing House, said that ST Store is not only a book sales channel but also a strategic tool in the digital transformation process of the theoretical and political publishing industry. In the context of traditional bookstores increasingly shrinking, even disappearing, developing an online platform is an inevitable trend to bring books closer to readers.
A highlight of ST Store is its seamless connection to the National Book system. Accordingly, after completing a book purchase, users can access the electronic version within 30 seconds, while the paper book will be delivered in about three days. “The mentality of being able to read and own it immediately will stimulate interest in books in today’s digital environment,” Mr. Binh shared.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Nga, Director of the Publishing Branch of the Publishing House in Ho Chi Minh City, assessed ST Store as an important milestone in the digital transformation process. This platform helps automatically distribute orders to the nearest branch, shorten delivery time, reduce costs and overcome overlapping distribution areas. This is also an opportunity for units that do not have an online sales channel, especially in the Central region.
