Mr. Tran Tien Dung was appointed as Deputy Secretary of Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee.

(PLVN) - Mr. Tran Tien Dung has just been mobilized and appointed by the Politburo to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee.

On July 1, Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee held an announcement ceremony of the Politburo 's Decision on the transfer and appointment of the Deputy Secretary of Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Phan Thang An, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Dien Bien province.

Specifically, in Decision 2148-QDNS/TW dated June 21, 2025, the Politburo assigned and appointed Mr. Tran Tien Dung (former Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee) to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee (term 2020-2025) from July 1, 2025.

Expressing his gratitude to the Politburo, the Secretariat and General Secretary To Lam for entrusting him with the important responsibility, Deputy Secretary of Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Tran Tien Dung also thanked the comrades in the Standing Committee of Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee for agreeing to accept him to work in Dien Bien.

New Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Tien Dung delivered a speech accepting the assignment.

Mr. Tran Tien Dung promised to constantly strive, work hard, and be determined with the Standing Committee, the Party Executive Committee, and the entire political system of Dien Bien province to continue promoting the glorious revolutionary tradition, the spirit of solidarity, strictly implementing the direction of General Secretary To Lam, continuing to spend time researching to make contributions suitable to the province's reality, maximizing the spirit of autonomy, confidence, self-reliance, self-strengthening and the support and assistance of the Central Government to jointly build and develop Dien Bien province, contributing to the overall development of the whole country, entering a new era of wealth and prosperity.

Mr. Tran Tien Dung (born March 7, 1975), hometown Nam Dinh province, now Ninh Binh province; has over 20 years of working experience in the judicial sector, has matured through many positions at the Ministry of Justice and was appointed to the position of Deputy Minister of Justice in January 2016.

In February 2019, he was appointed by the Secretariat to join the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee, term 2015 - 2020; introduced to be elected to hold the position of Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee, term 2016 - 2021.

In March 2019, he was elected to the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Lai Chau province for the 2016-2021 term and re-elected to this position for the 2021-2026 term. In May 2023, Mr. Tran Tien Dung was transferred and appointed to the position of Deputy Minister of Justice.

In January 2025, the Politburo decided to transfer and appoint Mr. Tran Tien Dung to hold the position of Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
