(PLVN) - On the afternoon of June 28, just two days before the merger of several provinces and cities and the country officially operates a two-level government apparatus, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Chairman of the Central Emulation and Reward Council, still chaired the 12th meeting of the Council with representatives of ministries and branches. This move shows that emulation plays a very important role in life.

The report at the meeting showed that, in recent times, emulation and reward work has continued to receive attention, direction, focus, and effective implementation. Emulation movements have spread, become practical, and have had a great influence on society and people's lives. These include the "Digital Literacy for All" movement launched by the Prime Minister with the goal of helping people, especially those with limited access to technology, to grasp and master digital technology ; the "The whole country competes in innovation and digital transformation" movement; the creative emulation movement to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), towards the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2...

The most obvious measurable effect is the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025". Up to now, with the spirit of "a warm home built, much love left behind", the whole country has supported nearly 263,000 temporary and dilapidated houses, reaching 94.7%. It is also possible to mention the movement "Promoting the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure, competing to practice thrift, combating waste" with 19 projects/component projects of important national works and projects in the Transport sector that have been put into operation, of which the completion and operation have increased the total number of highways in the whole country from 1,327km to 2,268km, with 52 projects/component projects currently under construction, basically following the set schedule... Or the movement "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas", "For the poor - No one is left behind" phase period 2021 - 2025 nationwide; has helped Vietnam become a world model in implementing the millennium goals.

It can be said that in the recent past, in the context of the country having had major positive changes such as streamlining the administrative apparatus, strong economic development, emulation movements launched and widely deployed have been a great spiritual resource contributing to motivating the team of cadres, civil servants, workers, business community, and people of all walks of life to strive to contribute, to receive good results for themselves and make an important contribution to the overall achievements of the country. In daily life, spiritual strength plays an equally important role as material strength. Therefore, the Prime Minister's direction in the meeting on continuing to organize and launch emulation movements, such as the movement of all people competing to get rich and contribute to building the country, with the spirit of inheriting and promoting the emulation movements that have been deployed, will certainly make an important contribution to creating new resources, inspiring the entire political system and the whole society in building and developing the country.
