This year's award encourages high-quality journalistic works that reflect real people, real events, positive actions, and typical examples in society, while condemning negative and uncultured manifestations.
Key topics include: building and perfecting institutions and policies for developing culture, sports and tourism; strategies for developing culture, sports and tourism, and Vietnamese families; preserving heritage; promoting traditional values combined with the quintessence of modern culture.
In particular, the third edition added content groups reflecting activities in the fields of journalism, publishing, cyberspace, foreign culture and electronic information, new fields within the Ministry's management. This is a new point compared to the previous two editions.
Entries must be in genres such as reports, reports, investigations, documentaries, memoirs, and discussions (except for live radio and television programs) and must be published or broadcast for the first time in print, electronic, radio, television, and photo newspapers between June 16, 2024 and June 30, 2025.
Each submitted work must be accompanied by a printed copy, an electronic copy, an explanation of the content, information about the author, the work unit, confirmation from the press agency where it is published... The Organizing Committee will award 1 collective prize worth 20 million VND and individual prizes, of which the first prize is worth 30 million VND, along with second, third and consolation prizes.
Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Nguyen Anh Vu, Editor-in-Chief of Culture Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the award, emphasized the importance of promoting the cultural creativity of people, intellectuals, artists and community cultural movements.
Entries should be sent directly or by post to the Culture Newspaper, the permanent agency of the contest, at No. 33, Lane 294/2, Kim Ma Street, Ngoc Ha Ward, Hanoi. The deadline for submission is July 31 (according to the postmark).
