Recently, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai led a delegation of Ho Chi Minh City to work and inspect the progress of a number of projects in Thanh An island commune, Can Gio district.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Ho Hai said that the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City are very interested in Thanh An island commune and want to create all conditions for people and soldiers in the island commune to live and work better.

According to him, Ho Chi Minh City always pays attention to supporting resources for localities to develop socio -economy, but first of all, the people of Ho Chi Minh City must have enough conditions for development, "not to let the island communes of Ho Chi Minh City live in more difficulty than other island communes".

He suggested that in the coming time, it is necessary to continue to invest periodically or focus on investing suddenly in technical infrastructure and social infrastructure to build an increasingly developed island commune. At the same time, there must be long-term investment, prioritizing resources, possibly from the fund "For the homeland's sea and islands, for the frontline of the Fatherland", from other political and social organizations... to build an increasingly developed island commune.

Also at the meeting, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee shared his concerns about supporting medical conditions for islanders. He hopes that in the near future, there will be an ambulance with optimal solutions as suggested by the Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, Tang Chi Thuong, to provide timely medical and disaster support for people both day and night.

Sharing the concerns of the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Tuoi Tre newspaper recently launched the program "Waterway ambulance for Can Gio" with the desire to accompany Ho Chi Minh City to help patients on the island commune have the earliest access to doctors, medical facilities when in need of emergency care or in cases requiring rescue...

"The Waterway Ambulance for Can Gio" will be a specialized vessel that can provide first aid, then transport emergency patients from Thanh An island commune and neighboring areas to medical centers and specialized hospitals that are not accessible by road or air.

"Water rescue boat for Can Gio" will support disadvantaged people in difficult circumstances to use it for free when they have urgent needs related to health and life.
