Standing Deputy Secretary of Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee appointed as Permanent Deputy Minister of Health

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just issued Decision No. 1881 to receive and appoint Mr. Vu Manh Ha, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Permanent Deputy Minister of Health .

Mr. Vu Manh Ha was born in 1979 in Viet Lam commune, Vi Xuyen district, Ha Tuyen province (now Ha Giang province); hometown Xuan Truong district, Nam Dinh province. Mr. Ha is a doctor of medicine, graduated from Thai Nguyen University of Medicine, majoring in general medicine, senior political theory.

Previously, Mr. Vu Manh Ha started working in the medical industry as an ophthalmologist at the Ha Giang General Hospital (old). In 2008, he took on the position of head of the hospital's ophthalmology department and was appointed deputy director of the Eye Hospital under the Ha Giang Provincial Department of Health (old) in December 2013.

From September 2015, he was Deputy Director of the Department of Health of Ha Giang (old); then Vice President of the Vietnam Youth Union of the province and assumed the position of Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Youth Union of Ha Giang (old) province from August 2016.

From May 2018, he was Secretary of the Hoang Su Phi District Party Committee, 20th term, 2015-2020; in October 2020, he was a member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Propaganda Department of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee (old).

Mr. Ha was elected as an alternate member of the 13th Party Central Committee, term 2021-2026 in January 2021 and from May 2023 he served as Deputy Secretary of Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee and then Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee until now.

Thus, with the addition of the newly appointed permanent deputy minister, the Ministry of Health currently has leaders including Minister Dao Hong Lan and 6 deputy ministers including Mr. Vu Manh Ha, Do Xuan Tuyen, Tran Van Thuan, Nguyen Thi Lien Huong, Le Duc Luan, and Nguyen Tri Thuc.
